PMGR ''Mini'' or Hi-Torque Starter w/wire kit (1881)
This Ford Style Mini-Starter is an “Upgrade” for most applications from 1965-1978 with manual transmission. At only 8.5lbs (vs. the 18 lbs. stock field wound starter in those early years) it often reduces weight almost 50% and requires less cranking amps. Because of its very small size it potentially increases header clearance and reduces the effects of “hot start”. This starter works well on higher compression engines and is in use with customers on 12.0:1 compression applications. Includes the conversion wire kit for “Upgrade Applications”. All starters are 100% new, tested prior to shipping.
1881 mounting diameter is 105mm (4.134")
