Starting in 2005 the alternator was controlled by the PCM, this is compatible with the Ford computer and in some cases will eliminate the cam position sensor code error. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges, we recommend you make or buy a #4 gague power wire kit as the OEM Ford wire is too small for the power this will make. 100+ amps at idle (2000 alternator shaft rpm) 200+ amps maximum (6000 alternator shaft rpm) The stock belt can be used on original equipment Shelby vehicles
