This unit has a maximum output of 160+Amps and will produce between 80A to 90A at idle depending on whether the engine is gas or diesel and shaft speeds. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications. If you are putting the 5.9 Diesel power plant into a vehicle not wired or equipped for it, this is your answer - no external regulator, no wiring. Just the main power feed wire.
