Need a 1-Wire Alternator for your 1989-2002 Dodge Ram pickup with the 5.9 Diesel Cummins? This unit has a maximum output of 160+Amps and will produce between 80A to 90A at idle depending on whether the engine is gas or diesel and shaft speeds. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications. If you are putting the 5.9 Diesel powerplant into a vehicle not wired or equipped for it, this is your answer - no external regulator, no wiring. Just the main power feed wire. We offer an optional W-Terminal or TACH pickup wire to this alternator. This option is only available on these “SE” Denso / dodge alternators that eliminate the PCM. When you select this option, we will provide a tach lead for connection to a diesel specific aftermarket tach. This is only available at the time of assembly and older units are not physically eligible for retrofit. The connection is simple, the wire is provided by us but does not need to be used if no tach is intended. This will not work with factory equipped tachometers or ignition-based tachometers, only a stator signal tachometer. The rotor has 12 poles, some calibration instructions ask this (tach shown is not included)

saved my pickups life
Been fighting burning up regulators and many other issues for 3 years on 91 w250. Was just fixing to sell the pickup when heard about this alternator an figured I'd give it a try. Not only does it charge great, it isn't boiling my battery, all my lights started working, speedometer works again and so do power steering and brakes. I know no relation there but im so happy I'll just go ahead and give credit to this fine alternator. Thanks a million.

one wire alternator
I have a 12 valve swapped 2004 Dodge Ram 3500. The previous owner had a low power GM one wire in it that finally stopped working. I received this alternator and bolted it right up and it works flawlessly! I'd recommend this to anyone that has a cummins swap.

Easy to install
The charging volts are higher than I would like, wished it had a adjustable charging volts.
