Product Description
This is a very popular replacement for 1999-2002 Dodge Ram pickup with the 5.9 Diesel Cummins. This unit has a maximum output of 160+Amps and will produce between 80A to 90A at idle depending on whether the engine is gas or diesel and shaft speeds. This unit will increase the charging capacity at all RPM Ranges with NO modifications.

This unit has our lifetime warranty.
** NOTE ** there were two types of alternators used, one had a side facing B+ output stud and one was rear facing. Our unit will come with a rear facing stud. The wire will reach and there are no clearance issues, but be aware that this can be a difference and the wire may bend tightly as a result.

Excellent
This alternator solved the problem. Original went and the backup I had in the garage was bad as well. O’Reilly didn’t have the one I needed so I decided to upgrade and purchase the PA Performance alternator. 5 minutes to take the old one out and put the new one in and it has been great. With the extra amperage I can look to upgrade some lights and a few other items. Very pleased! I will be back when I need something else for sure!
